Service Description
Art Fundamentals Program for Ages 10 years and older About Our Program: Our specialized art course focuses on foundational sketching and painting techniques for children aged 10 years and older. Taught by professional art instructors with fine arts degrees and over 10 years of teaching experience, our Art studio has been nurturing young artists for a decade. Through structured lessons and guided practice, students develop essential artistic skills in a supportive environment. Curriculum Rotation: Month 1: Sketching (pencil techniques, shading, composition) Month 2: Acrylic Painting (color mixing, brushwork, texture) Month 3: Watercolor (transparency, washes, layering) This rotating system ensures students gain well-rounded training in both drawing and color application - perfect for developing versatile artists or passionate art enthusiasts. Materials Needed: Sketching: Bring a sketchbook (we provide pencils, erasers, kneaded erasers) Acrylics: Bring a watercolor pad (we provide paints, brushes, cups, palettes, easels) Watercolor: Bring your own paints, watercolor pad, and brushes (we provide cups and palettes) Class Details: 📅 Every Saturday ⏰ 10:30-12 PM 📍 7 Pond Street, Charlottetown, PE Join us to build artistic skills that last a lifetime! Cancellation Policy
Art Class Policy No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the start of the art class. Missed Classes: Unexcused absences will not be reimbursed. However, missed classes can be made up if the absence is communicated at least 2 hours in advance, and a reason for the absence is provided. Serious Illness or Injury: Participants unable to continue due to serious illness or injury will be eligible for a prorated refund for the remaining classes. Release of Liability Agreement
1. Assumption of Risk
Participation in art activities (including but not limited to painting, sketching, clay modeling, and outdoor activities) involves inherent risks. While Nicole's Art Studio staff will take all reasonable safety precautions, accidents or injuries may still occur. Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for any injuries or property damage resulting from their child's participation.
2. Medical Emergencies
In case of medical emergency, parents/guardians authorize Nicole's Art Studio staff to:

Seek emergency medical care
Parents/guardians will be contacted immediately and parents/guardians are responsible for all related medical expenses.
3. Code of Conduct
Participants must:

Follow all camp rules and regulations

Show respect to instructors, staff and other participants
Nicole's Art Studio reserves the right to dismiss any participant for serious misconduct without refund.
4. Personal Belongings
Nicole's Art Studio is not responsible for:

Lost, stolen or damaged personal items

Valuables brought to the premises
5. Media Release
Nicole's Art Studio may use photographs/videos of camp activities for promotional purposes. No personal information will be disclosed.
6. Food Safety Policy

Participants must bring their own nut-free and seafood-free lunches/snacks

Due to the high summer temperatures, parents are advised to put ice packs in their child's lunch box

Prohibit sharing of food among children to avoid food allergies and poisoning
Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for any food-related allergies or illnesses.
7. Liability Release
Parents/guardians accept full responsibility for all claims, disputes or issues arising from their child's participation at Nicole's Art Studio.
